Kevin started his building business in 1977 primarily focusing on creating one-of-a-kind homes. Curiosity and Creativity with a zest for living and a passion for building describe Kevin Well. These attributes along with a love for working with and managing people combined with a gift for details and a long history in construction makes him perfectly suited to lead his custom home building business. After graduating from Bend High School, Kevin went on to major in Fine Arts, while playing on the University of Oregon baseball squad. After College, he went onto develop his construction savvy and strong engineering aptitude working as a Surveying Engineer during all phases of the monumental Trans Alaska Pipeline Project before returning to Bend to start his family and follow his dream to be a Custom Builder.
His thirst for knowledge and passion for Art and Architecture twice landed Kevin at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design to study ‘Traditional Town Planning’ with Andres Duany, the founding father of ‘New Urbanism’. Inspired with a vision and newfound knowledge of New Urbanist principles he was able to champion the development of “Village Wiestoria” a 7.5 Acre site with 42 units in Bend, Oregon. This development won the Governor’s Livability Award and the National Arbor Day Foundations award for building with trees. Kevin has also, twice been honored in the ‘Builder of The Year’ competition from the esteemed National publication, ‘Custom Builder Magazine’ and later served as a juror on Custom Builder Magazines’ prestigious award selection committee.
“ I am proud of the many local and regional awards we have won over the years. That said, the best reward, now and always, will be the joy we get when we meet and exceed our client’s expectations. We are known for being honest, authentic, and always open to making choices that help every detail be the best it can be.”
